2023.10 Cruising: Queer Solidarity Practices
"Cruising" encompasses the gay practice of seeking sexual encounters in public spaces, blending an amorous sense of a pleasurable journey. It's like a dream of floating on the ocean, taking our fears and desires towards new horizons.
The exhibition showcases materials including documentation from the event "El Futuro es Ahora" in Santiago and a podcast by musician Ángelo Santa Cruz, which includes original music composed from interviews conducted in Berlin to queer artists.
Research and exhibition by sentimental studio in collaboration with Fernando Schrupp, Angelo Santa Cruz and Assistant Professor Dr. Valentina Carraro. Project funded by the Centre for Urban Studies at the University of Amsterdam.
