This project takes precedent from origami tessellation patterns, and advances the application of complex folding techniques into human scale material design.

The installation on display, fabricated from 122 differentiated panels, is a human scale, user interactive, folding structure which transforms from a flat surface into 3-dimensional forms of exponential orientations.

The research and design team performed in-depth investigations into origami tessellation patterns, material testing, fabrication, material design and speculation which inform this large scale experimental model.
